Itinerary

Day 1 (Thu) – Istanbul

Upon arrival at Istanbul airport, you will be met by our representative, assisted through formalities and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 (Fri) – Istanbul

After breakfast, you will visit the Hagia Sophia Church, the architectural glory of the 6th century, the Byzantine basilica, the Blue Mosque, the imperial mosque famous for its six minarets and interior tiles, and the Byzantine Hippodrome, now an open-air exhibition park with a number of monuments. After lunch, visit the Topkapi Palace, once the great residence of Ottoman Sultans, now a world famous museum. Explore the Grand Bazaar housing over 4000 shops. Overnight at your hotel. (B)

Day 3 (Sat) - Gallipoli / Dardanelles / Canakkale

After breakfast, you will visit Gallipoli the famous battlefield where you will visit Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery, and the Gagatepe War Mueseum. Cross the Dardanelles by ferry for Canakkale and overnight at your hotel. (BD)

Day 4 (Sun) - Troy / Pergamum / Kusadasi

Depart for the city of Troy, famed in the Homeric legend wooden horse. Continue to Pergamum, the Antique City, where you will be able to see the Asklepium Sanctuary, the famous medical center. Arrive in Kusadasi and overnight. (BD)

Day 5 (Mon) - Kusadasi / Ephesus

Drive to the Ancient City of Ephesus, where you will see the marble streets, Antique Theater, Arcadian Way, a roman bath, Celcus Library, and the Basilica of St. Joseph. You will also visit the Shrine of the Virgin Mary where she spent her final years. Return to Kusadasi and overnight at your hotel. (BD)

Day 6 (Tue) – Pamukkale

Drive to Pamukkale where you will watch the petrified calcium cliffs. Continue to Hierapolis to visit the Roman and early Christian remains.  A stop is made to enjoy the thermal spring water pools before continuing to your hotel for overnight. (BD)

Day 7 (Wed) - Perge / Antalya

After breakfast, start your drive to Antalya stopping in Perge, a fine example of a Greek and Roman city. Overnight at your hotel Antalya. (BD)

Day 8 (Thu) – Antalya

Enjoy a day of leisure exploring Antalya. You may like to join one of our optional yacht cruise or tour Phaselis. (BD)

Day 9 (Fri) - Antalya / Aspendos / Konya

After breakfast, start your drive to Aspendos where you will see Roman artifacts dating to the 2nd century, one of the best preserved theater seating about 15000 people. Continue to Konya (Iconium), the city famous for its Whirling Dervishes. Visit the Mevlana Mausoleum, master of the whirling dervishes and the Karatay Koran School. Overnight at your hotel. (BD)

Day 10 (Sat) – Cappadocia

In the morning after breakfast, you will depart for Cappadocia and visit the 13th Century Agzikarahan caravansary, the land of the Fairy Chimneys dating to the Seljuk period. En route, visit a Cappadocian wine cave to enjoy tasting local wines. Overnight at your hotel. (BD)

Day 11 (Sun) Cappadocia

After breakfast, you will visit Goreme, the largest open Air Museum where you will see 10th century churches cut out of soft rock with its most spectacular paintings of the region. Continue to Avanos known for the red soil colouring the clay used by potters. A stop is made at Pasabgi Valley to see the fairy chimneys. Attend a pottery workshop in a cave. Overnight at your hotel. Day 12 (Mon) - Cappadocia / Ankara

Embark on a morning drive to Ankara, the capital of Turkey, and visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk, where the founder of the Turkish Republic lies, and the Ancient Citadel. Overnight at your hotel. (BD)

Day 13 (Tue) - Ankara / Istanbul

After breakfast, depart for Istanbul. Upon arrival, enjoy some time of leisure to explore the city on your own. Overnight at your hotel. (BD)

Day 14 (Wed) - Istanbul / En Route

Transfer to Istanbul airport for your departure. (B)
